Popular TV shows for Toddlers.

When I started preparing to write this post,lot of things came to my mind, as to which one will go in to my article. In fact, there are numerous TV shows which are aired all around the world but only few of them are meant for toddlers.In India we have  around 15 channels for kids and my favorites are Discovery kids,Nick JR and Disney JR(as I watch along with my kid).Now it's time to reveal the list.

#1 Peppa Pig

The TV show revolves around  main character Peppa which is a pig. Peppa pig talks fluently in English but snorts like a pig while making conversations.It also includes Peppa's brother George,Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig.The show also features Peppa's relatives and friends. Peppa's friends are the same age as she is and each of her friend is a different kind of mammal.

Each episode features everyday activities like attending playgroup,visiting grandparents,going swimming or riding their bikes. Peppa also enjoys jumping in muddy puddles and playing with her Teddy(teddy  bear).

I like the English accent in this show which is very easy to catch up and is also fun to watch with kids.

#2 Team UmiZoomi

Team UmiZoomi is a computer animated series  mainly on improvising preschool mathematical concepts such as Counting,measuring,sequences,shapes,patterns and comparisons. The main characters are Milli, Geo,Bot and the viewer. Milli is Geo's older sister who has the abilities to create patterns on her dress by saying "Pattern Power" and using them to solve riddles.

Geo is Milli's younger brother who has the ability to make shapes by saying "Super shapes" and create objects with them.Third main character is Bot i.e. Robot.A green robot friend who likes to sing and dance and has fun-loving child like personality.Bot has computer screen called "Belly Belly screen" on his stomach.Often Bot gets calls for help and it can be viewed on this screen.When the team is stuck in helping/solving a riddle Bot will see for clues on computer screen.Bot arms and legs can be extended to reach things by saying "Arms extendo" or "Legs extendo".In each episode,he's usually introduced by Milli as "Best Robot Friend".

I forgot to mention there's also a Umi car-The team's beloved  little orange car who drives the team wherever their help is needed and last but not the least Door mouse.Door mouse is famous for its voice.The security mouse of Umi city and sometimes friends with team Umizoomi.He often blocks team's entry asking for key and the team must complete a math challenge to retrieve key.

#3 Max and Ruby

My another favorite TV show mainly of the relations and love shown between characters.Max and Ruby TV show's are based on the books written by "Rosemary Wells".Each episode features Ruby involved in a project or organizing tea party and Max was always ready to spoil her plans.Ruby will try to persuade him by giving some toy and not scolding him.

Because she's older ,she often thinks she knows better than Max and at times incorrectly misjudges things.She has a romanticized or girlish view of things,which often causes her to come in to conflict with Max.He usually says just one word and keep repeating it in entire episode.The show is also frequented with one more character max and Ruby's grandma.

She likes to have fun and has an attic full of clothes .She has grey fur and is frequently involved with her grand children.She also shares Max's love of playing Pirate as they are both depicted playing it in various episodes and like Ruby she enjoys shopping and cooking.

#4 Little Krishna--the darling of Vrindavan.

I watched this TV show lot of times and Won't get bored.Stories about little Krishna how could I miss them.We have heard many stories about Krishna playing in Vrindavan,killing numerous demons and saving villagers in difficult times.But the stories in this TV show are presented with more clarity and the expressions of characters are really superb.Let's get in to more detail about show's content.

Little Krishna is the darling of Brindavan,the land of peace and tranquility which is often threatened by malice of evil king Kansa. While Krishna is busy with his endless pranks and mischief's accompanied by his friends, Kansa remains restless for he is aware that Krishna is his nemesis. As in the past, a prophecy had threatened Kansa that his evil reign is over, and a savior will descend on earth to make Kansa meet his worst adversity in life, which is his death. The only objective of Kansa's life therefore, was to find his angel of death.

Sworn to see the end of Krishna, Kansa relentlessly sends his trusted aids, the ferocious demons to Vrindavan in order to kill Krishna. But Krishna is born to be a savior as he crushes the deadly demons one after another with heroic poise. Kansa repeatedly fails to recognize that Little Krishna, even as a baby in the lap of His mother is still God or "The Supreme Personality of Godhead".

While the episodes of "Little Krishna" capture an epic canvas on screen with the colossal battles of good against evil, it never misses to touch the emotional chord of the narrative. While lapping up the affection of his parents and the admiration of the common mass of Vrindavan, Krishna manifests his mesmerizing charms with his soulful enchanting flute that compels every living creature to dance to his tunes

Action, adventure, heroic valor, selfless deeds, emotional trysts, mischief... all packaged in a compelling story telling underlines the hallmark of the "Little Krishna" series.

Chota Bheem

Chota Bheem is a fictional comedy-adventure series first aired in 2008 on POGO TV. It mainly focuses on the adventures of the boy named Bheem and his friends in the fictional kingdom of Dholakpur[ A village somewhere in rural India].

The series revolves around Bheem, sometimes referred to as “Chota Bheem” due to his small age,A nine year old boy who is brave ,strong and brilliant. His power is a boon to the village, which is constantly beset by all kinds of perils. Bheem is often seen defeating enemies who attack Dholakpur or harm the villagers like the evil demon “Kirmada”, the robber mangal singh and the evil witch.

Chutki is a seven year old girl and daughter of TunTun, the laddu maker. She’s Bheem’s closest friend and assists him on their adventures .Raju is a cute and courageous kid and is ready to team up with Chota Bheem and Chutki to solve Villager’s problems.

One more important character is Jaggu ,talking monkey or bandar.J aggu has his own way of solving problems using tricks and his amazing sense of humor. Jaggu and Bheem always have fun together, be it  exploring forests or helping people with their chores.

Masha and the Bear

Masha and the bear is a Russian animated television series , based on the oral children’s folk story of the same name. The show focuses on the adventures of a little girl named ”Masha” and a fatherly pictured bear that always keeps her from disasters.

Masha is a Russian girl who lives in the forest with her Pig, Goat and Dog.All the animals in the forest are afraid of her as she forces them to play with her. One fine morning Masha sees a butterfly and follows it inside the home of a bear who has gone fishing. While playing there, Masha makes a big mess. When the bear returns, he sees the disaster caused by Masha. The bear tries to get rid of Masha, but he is unsucessful. He and Masha will soon become good friends.

In each episode of the show, Masha is portrayed as a clever and mischievous girl who is exploring the world through a number of entertaining situations where she demonstrates her assertiveness,where as kind-hearted Bear always keep Masha out of trouble but often ends up the unintended victim of her mischief. There are several supporting characters in the series, including Masha's sister - Dasha, a penguin adopted by the Bear, a young panda cub who is the Bear's cousin, two wolves who live in the old UAZ car, a tiger that worked with the bear in the circus, and Female Bear that is the object of the bear's affections, along with a hare, squirrels and hedgehogs, and a pig Rosie, goat, and dog who live in Masha's front yard.
